Silvio,

The BBC is highlighting impacts on digital TV on their website:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/digital/

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/6142998.stm

And it looks like TV itself is suffering a drop in viewers:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/6168950.stm

With such an enormous flow of information coming towards us we better find ways to make it easier to choose. Is it that people simply want to spend less time getting information, so that producers of information need to compress the actual bits of information into a shorter timeframe? Is time pressure causing people to change their behaviours and choices on media?

Information consumption seems to change drastically. More information in less time. That means also the need for better reliability, verification sources, detail information through a link only instead of embedding it in the story... Let people choose where they want more detail and just give the raw bits of information as they happen...

Lifestyle is continuously changing and it is interesting to see if Digital TV is going to hit the mark or miss it entirely.
